Kimono Robes
Sevya's new block printed cotton Kimono Robes are now in stock! These knee-length robes feature traditional Indian block printing and a modern, elegant cut inspired by the Japanese Kimono. These robes are made with soft, lightweight cotton, which makes them perfect for summer.
We currently offer two colors and prints in our new Kimono Robes: Sky Blue and Indigo. The block printed design features paisley patterns on the sky blue robe and floral patterns on the indigo robe. Block printing is a traditional Indian art form where artisans use wooden blocks to print patterns onto fabric. These blocks are often passed down through generations within families. Due to the nature of hand block printing, minor variation is to be expected and adds to the unique artistic beauty of each piece.
The robes feature the traditional wide sleeves that are based off of the Japanese kimono style. Each robe comes with a matching belt and includes pockets. The short length makes them easy to pack for vacations or a trip to the pool!
Our handmade robes are great to wear around the house and still feel like you are at a resort! The festive and beautiful block printing motifs are a celebration of spring and a fresh start to 2021.
