Our Indigo Placemats are made with soft 100% cotton canvas material is hand block printed by artisans in Rajasthan, India using the traditional mud resist printing technique known as “dabu printing”. This art form has been practiced in India for centuries and is a very intricate process involving many steps. The natural variations that occur with mud printing adds to the authentic beauty of each piece. Our fair trade placemats have matching napkin sets, runners and tablecloths, and are machine washable. Each piece is a work of art, and showcases the incredible block printing traditions of India with eco-friendly dyes. Comes as a set of 6 placemats, with napkins and table runners available separately.
